Please visit this website and watch the video:

http://www.meat.org

The goal of videos such as this is simply to share information and hopefully, open people's eyes to the realities of factory farming.

Those who deny the torture of factory farming are simply perpetuating the ignorance that has led to this problem. Those who support what happens in the video above do so not by directly killing, but by putting money into it, as consumers.

There are many alternatives to the meat from these "factory farms," or killing factories. Transitioning to veganism is the most humane path to escaping the factory farm system. After knowing what happens, how can we refuse to change?

For every year a person decides not to eat meat, about 90-95 farm animals are never tortured, never killed, never forced to live in the dark, never to see the sunlight.

Why do humans treat animals in this manner? Is it because it's not of our own species? Is it because it's a cow, a pig... but what about a dog? Who draws the line? Pigs actually have the intelligence of a toddler, but most people will not recognize their sentience. Just because they do not live with us in our households does not mean they do not feel.

Ignorance is NOT bliss in the case of factory farming. People must learn about these processes; we are obligated to spread this message to everyone we know. Animals can't speak or fight for themselves when placed in these conditions - we have to be their voice. People choose to ignore the issue because they don't have to see the atrocities every day. But how can we perpetuate something when we know the cruelty inherent within it?

Thank you. Please pass this on to your friends. Every step in spreading videos like this helps to promote awareness, and that is all we need to spur change and stop factory farming.
